Accountability Counsel conducts training for communities, their civil society partners, and lawyers seeking to assist communities challenging human rights and environmental abuses.

Training with communities affected by the Ridge to Reef conservation project in Myanmar.

Community trainings typically cover a number of options that may be available to resolve a dispute and bring accountability. We often partner with local lawyers or NGOs to discuss domestic legal strategies in addition to providing in-depth training on the use of dispute resolution mechanisms and compliance review procedures tied to international finance and development.

We specialize in accountability mechanisms of the World Bank Group, regional development banks, export credit agencies, and OECD National Contact Points.

We use our Accountability Resource Guide and individualized resource materials for our trainings in communities.
