Kelly Cruchett is a recent graduate of the University of San Francisco with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies with a concentration in Cultures, Societies and Values, and a minor in African Studies. In her third year, Kelly spent a semester abroad in Cape Town, South Africa. During her time there, she took classes in development and land politics while interning with Africa Unite, a human rights organization focused on improving social cohesion within communities of the Western Cape province.
Through her studies, both in San Francisco and abroad, Kelly has developed a passion for the politics of global narrative building and a drive to see communities, especially those located in the global south, to have autonomy over decisions that impact their day-to-day lives. In the fall, Kelly will continue her studies at the University of San Francisco, pursuing a Master’s in International Studies with a concentration in Culture, Power, and Social Movements.
In her free time, you can find Kelly lounging at the beach, enjoying live music, or sipping a cold brew at one of the city’s coffee shops.
