Courtney Christensen joined the Accountability Counsel team as a Policy Fellow in the fall of 2019. She is currently a Juris Doctor candidate in her second year at Georgetown University Law Center, where she is a constitutional law research assistant and a Women’s Legal Alliance Mentor. During the summer following her first year of law school, Courtney interned at the California Attorney General’s Office in the Civil Rights Enforcement Section. While there she worked on policy matters, investigations, and impact litigation surrounding the constitutionality of the border wall, child detention and family separation at the border. Prior to law school, Courtney worked in Head Start advocacy and as an intern in California’s child dependency court.
Courtney graduated with honors from UCLA in 2016 with a major in Political Science, a concentration in International Relations, and a minor in Applied Developmental Psychology. While in college, Courtney further studied International Human Rights at the London School of Economics.
