Belén Carriedo is a Master of Global Affairs candidate at the University of Notre Dame’s Keough School of Global Affairs. Driven by a passion to serve, she has volunteered at Hospicio de Huerfano in Costa Rica, the Centre for Social Action in India, Good Neighbors in the Dominican Republic, and in Fiji, where she worked as a community-youth development specialist through the Peace Corps. In Fiji, she conducted several Let Girls Learn initiatives, including a Take Back the Night event to raise awareness of gender-based violence.
Currently, Belén serves as a Research Associate for the Notre Dame Reparations Design and Compliance Lab at the University of Notre Dame. She assists in developing a research agenda around compliance with human rights measures and collaborates with international adjudication bodies to produce evidence-based information to improve compliance patterns.
