Initial Comments - November 2010


As a first step in the review process, in November 2010, Accountability Counsel provided comments to the ADB regarding their existing Accountability Mechanism:

Comments on the Draft Policy - March 2011


As a second step, on March 31, 2011, Accountability Counsel, with endorsement from thirteen other civil society organizations, provided further comments on the ADB’s Draft Revised Accountability Mechanism Policy:

Comments on the Working Paper - May 2011


The ADB released a Working Paper in April 2011 just days after we submitted our comments.   Because of concern expressed from civil society regarding the quick release of the Working Paper after the receipt of comments, the ADB created a final window for additional comments on the April 2011 Working Paper.  Those comments are due on June 1, 2011.   Accountability Counsel submitted follow up comments to the ADB on May 28, 2011, available here.


Second Working Paper Proposed for Board Vote - September 2011


The ADB released a Second Working Paper in September 2011.  The Paper contains the final recommendation for a revised Accountability Mechanism.  The Paper will now go before the ADB Board of Directors for a vote on the proposed revised policy.
